Jumping Into Summer... A Me Update

Summer is HERE! The summer is my absolute favorite season. Some may think it is too hot, but I love all the activities summer brings and the long days. I have a ton of mountain trips planned for this summer so that is exciting as well as a trip home to NJ and finally starting to accept nutrition clients - More on THAT soon.

It is also half way through 2023, how?? Better get moving on those 2023 goals, only 6 months left to get it done.

Also, wanted to provide an update on ME cause I know there are inquiring minds out there that just need to know, so here goes:

  1. Workouts Right Now - I am doing a 3-day strength/2-day cardio split with 2 rest days. I debated whether or not to do a 5-day strength training program, but I love doing cardio - a nice outdoor run, hopping on the Peloton, or a quick HIIT are fun for me and I was not willing to totally eliminate those.

  2. Diet - Not too strict with diet right now, but focusing on eating high quality lean proteins. Not eating gluten, but sometimes dairy in small quantities.

  3. School - I AM DONE!!! Graduation was June 24th in Portland and it was a great time.

  4. Book I’m Reading Right Now - Celiac Disease: A Hidden Epidemic by Green and Jones, Hashimoto’s Protocol by Wentz and High-Octane Brain by Braun - all books you read when school is over and now you have real-life clients.

  5. Favorite Podcasts I’m Listening to Right Now - Mind Pump: Raw Fitness Truth and The Be Well by Kelly. Mind Pump provides a ton of interesting content on a variety of different fitness topics and answer questions people submit. Be Well by Kelly is more nutrition focused and gives great tips and tricks on how to nourish your body.

And that’s my update. I am chipping away at all my 2023 goals and will keep you in the loop as I progress. But I am also going to take some time to enjoy this lovely summer!
